Last year marked the 50th anniversary of Mr. Jack Borkey, Sr.’s involvement in the electrical industry.
To celebrate the occasion, Pepco hosted a gala event, featuring a '50s theme with old-fashioned diner-style fare, carnival rides and games, and Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators.
Attendees numbered around 500 people, including Pepco's customers, friends and family members. Guests ate, drank, played games and enjoyed carnival rides late into the night at Pepco's Eastlake location.
The event was in honor of the man and business that has been serving the electrical industry for half a century.
The first 14 years of Jack's s employment created a number of standards and policies that are still in place today.
Jack founded Pepco in 1968 with a solemn belief that Pepco’s dedicated support and service combined with top-quality products at competitive costs would result in the mutual success for both Pepco and our business partners.
Almost 37 years later, Pepco remains true to the original thought of how an electrical distributor should be managed.
