ABB-Automation--Power-World-2015

Several members of Pepco’s sales team, along with multiple customers, attended the ABB Automation & Power World in Houston, Texas on March 2-5, 2015. This was a great opportunity for our sales professionals to experience the full breath of ABB’s product offerings.

Over 7,000 attendees explored over 120,000 square feet of exhibits that showcased all the divisions offered by ABB. There were also many opportunities to attend educational workshops throughout each day, including hands on training to earn CEUs and PDHs. One of the main attractions of the event were the Keynote speakers, including ABB CEO Ulrich Spieshofer, retired Ford CEO Alan Mulally and retired Pilot Capt. Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, III.

In its first year, the ABB Automation & Power World  introduced “Distributor Day”, a program created to support the importance and growth of distributors. The day included an exclusive town hall meeting with ABB America’s Region President Greg Scheu, and a guided tour of exhibits and special conference sessions which were dedicated to support the needs of ABB’s distributors. Members of the Pepco sales team found this to be an extremely beneficial addition to the conference. They were able to get the inside scoop on emerging trends and product launches while connecting with other industry experts from around the country.
