Pepco was proud to be a Platinum sponsor of the third annual American Municipal Power (AMP) Lineworkers Rodeo held August 26-27, 2016 in Columbus. This unique event showcases the talents of lineworkers in AMP member communities. During the Rodeo, journeyman and apprentice lineworkers demonstrated their skills and knowledge of the craft.
There were three levels that lineworkers could compete in for professional recognition: journeyman team, individual journeyman, and apprentice. The overall winners from each of the three categories were provided a full sponsorship to attend and compete in the national American Public Power Association (APPA) Lineworkers Rodeo.
In attendance from Pepco were Bill Esposito, Municipal Utility Sales, and Adrian Griffin, Tools & Safety Purchasing. Addison Wellens of Greenlee was also present at the Pepco booth. This was a great opportunity to speak to those present about all of the safety equipment and tools Pepco’s Utility Division offers to linemen and contractors.
