Pepco employee Ryan Kimbler, Power Distribution Project Manager and Construction Insides Sales Rep out of the Columbus Branch, is one of the owners of K & S Racing and will be operating the American Dragster for the 2016 season. Ryan has only been driving race cars for about eight years, but has been around the racing atmosphere his entire life. Ryan’s dad ran Top Sportsman in NHRA and IHRA, so you can say racing is in his blood. The Nova model race car K & S Racing just sold was in the Kimbler family since 1988, so it was heart breaking for them to get rid of it.  But in order for Ryan to advance in rankings and class, purchasing the American Dragster was the direction they decided to take.

The American Dragster car was made in Millbury, Ohio by one of the most premier builders in the country. The car will run on straight methanol.  It will have an Aluminum 600 cubic inch big block Chevy motor pushing 1200 plus horsepower out. It will also have two stages of nitrous as well, making the horsepower rating close to 2000hp! The car will be eclipsing the 200mph marker in the quarter mile. During the 2016 racing season, K & S Racing will be competing with the American Dragster in the NHRA Jegs Super Quick Series, NHRA Quick 32, and will be following the big event bracket races across the Midwest as well.
