UL2930 covers assemblies of multiple receptacle outlets that are intended for connection of medical equipment. Medical equipment is typically intended for use in General Patient Care (Category 2) Spaces or Critical Patient Care (Category 1) Spaces, including Patient Care Vicinities equipped with Patient Equipment Grounding Points. Receptacles located as such must have a dual-fed grounding capability in compliance with NEC® Article 517.
