Throughout the year Pepco employees are chosen to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the company. The overall objective is to offer Pepco employees a personal insight into each other’s lives. With five Pepco branches spread throughout Ohio, it’s a great way to learn about our co-workers on a more personal level. The Pepco employee being honored here is Brandon Sutton.

I grew up in Willoughby, Ohio and graduated from Willoughby South High School. My family and I now
live in Willowick.

After high school, I enlisted in the Army and achieved the rank of Seargent. I served for 8 and a half years while stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I was deployed to Iraq for a year. After serving 5 and a half years of active duty, I went on to serve 3 years with the Ohio National Guard.

After the Army, I ended up working at Rick Case Hyundai in Euclid and soon realized that it was not what I wanted to do.

I have been married for over 8 years to my beautiful wife, Jackie. We met through my aunt while I was still in the Army and were married on July 27, 2007. 5 days later, I left for Iraq. So technically, we spent our honeymoon and first year of marriage apart.

We have been blessed with two awesome kids. We have one daughter, Chloe. She is 6 and in first
grade. We have one son, Chase. He is 4 and is ready to be a big boy in Kindergarten next Fall.

We also have three furry babies. Two dogs, Jack and Brutus, and Olaf the cat. When I am not at work, I like to hang out with my family. When we can, we like to take the kids to theme parks. During the warm months, we also like to go for bike rides as a family. Every year we go on an extended weekend camping trip to Clay’s Park.

For fun, I like to ride my motorcycle. I try to ride as much as I can when the weather is nice. I also
started hunting 2 years ago and it has quickly taken over my time in the cold months...even though
sometimes my wife isn’t happy about how much time I’m in the woods.

What are you passionate about?
When I can, I try to hang out with family and friends as much as possible. In my free time, I also like to cook and grill.

I just recently got back into working out; so that is one of my main passions right now.

I am glad Joe Borkey gave me the opportunity to come to work at Pepco; I am fortunate and happy to be part of the Pepco family.
