We would like to congratulate AJ Strnad for becoming our first trainee to complete the NAED EPEC bronze level training module. The EPEC program is a cornerstone of sales and product training for the electrical distribution industry. EPEC students participate in three, tiered levels of professional training and recognition (Bronze, Silver and Gold). The bronze level provides the beginning sales skills and product knowledge for over 200 products. Each module guides students through residential, industrial and commercial environments.

AJ has begun the Silver level, which dives deeper into lighting, loads, industrial machinery and hostile and hazardous environments.

Please join us all in congratulating AJ on this achievement.

Pepco and Hubbell are pleased to team up and bring you a unique view of our partnership. Our history together goes back a great number of years. We have embraced the Hubbell Companies over the years as a key vendor across multiple disciplines. We are presenting to you the key market segments Hubbell and Pepco jointly share in an effort to promote a complete solution. As you will find, each market segment offers a broad range of featured products to complete your project. Pepco is uniquely positioned to provide the expertise and product knowledge to work through all of these requirements. We can add to this the ability to cross over multiple market segments and truly provide the end to end solution. As our tag line states, “From Substation to Workstation”, we welcome the opportunity that may be presented to show you that Hubbell and Pepco can be your one source for all of your product needs.

About Hubbell
Hubbell Incorporated began its journey in the late 1800’s when its founder, Harvey Hubbell, developed tooling and equipment to serve the growing demand for new assembly and manufacturing machinery during the industrial revolution. The commercial availability of electric power and advent of the light bulb created additional opportunities for Hubbell. With early patents for the “pull chain lamp socket” and “separable plug and receptacle,” Hubbell stepped into an era of creativity, inventing new ways to serve its growing customer base of businesses, manufacturers, utilities and homeowners.

Hubbell’s Foundation for Success

  • Serving Our Customers means listening to our customers, understanding what they expect and helping them be successful. We do this by developing long-term relationships and building confidence in Hubbell’s ability to create and support opportunities to achieve their goals.

  • Operating with Discipline is a core attribute of our lean operating philosophy. Taking waste out of the process, replacing it with value-add functionality, and helping our customers connect with Hubbell in a mutually beneficial way.

Einheit using Pepco’s VMI program for Universal Windows Project

[fa icon="calendar'] Jul 9, 2018 12:07:10 PM / by Christy Angie posted in Einheit, VMI Program

[fa icon="comment"] 0 Comments

Einheit is one of the many companies who has taken advantage of one of Pepco’s managed services offerings; the VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program. The VMI Program saves time and money by making sure jobsites are stocked with the materials needed to complete day to day tasks. The idea behind this new method of jobsite management is simple… we provide an on-site 40’ storage unit, complete with bin-located racking, overhead lighting and open space for bulk storage.

For the Einheit job, Pepco is supplying a Conex Box stocked with material specifically needed for the job. Other Pepco VMI services include Conduit Carts, Wire Reels, Lighting Racks and Knack Job Boxes to help ensure jobsites are stocked to keep up with construction deadlines. Pepco also has a self-unloading flatbed truck for easily moving material.

Pepco’s customer service is top notch and fast responding to any difficulties a customer may face. Our VMI team is compiled of veteran Dan McCurdy and AJ Strnad from the Construction Sales Department, who personally make visits to VMI program jobsites weekly to ensure everything is running smoothly and to make sure the customer has a full understanding of how it works. They are always on call and readily available to go to these jobsites when their assistance is needed.

Pepco’s Managed Services Programs are set to make the job easier for both lead foreman of Einheit, Universal Windows, Andy Hausler, and everyone else on the field. By using Pepco VMI services and our Site Managers to keep the process fluid through rapid reorder and replenishment, the expectation is for this job to be completed by January 2019.
