Pepco recently had the opportunity to attend First Energy’s Toledo Edison Operations Company safety fair. The fair was three days long and was focused on lineman safety training. The event was well attended by both linemen and various levels of management. Preferred vendors, including Pepco, were invited to showcase their approved products to all end users in attendance.
We had a great time displaying a vast number of our approved tools and instruments to First Energy. This was done in order that First Energy employees could become better acquainted with the tools and instruments available to them in our digital First Energy (FE) tool catalog.
The opportunity to be at the fair also gave us the opportunity to interact with linemen on a deeper level, allowing us to discover and address their concerns and needs. This primary insight from the linemen is very valuable to us in that it provides us with many new ideas regarding how we can better support First Energy, specifically concerning ideas for new tools and how they can best be presented to the First Energy tool committee for review and approval.
